We are Gene + Amanda
(Monty + Marvin too 🐾),
The Team behind Love + The Lens

Our story together began in 2016, and since then we have travelled worldwide taking photos together. Our love blossomed and we married in February 2020.

As we found joy in taking photos together, we’ve found that we love taking photos of other couples & Love + The Lens was born!

Over the past years, we've had the joy of documenting the magic of weddings through our photography. We've recently expanded our skills to include full videography services, allowing us to preserve your special moments in both stunning documentary-style photos and beautiful videos.

FAQ’s

  • We are based in Auckland! However, we also love travelling ALL of NZ! You can find our travel costs at the bottom of our Pricing page

  • We require a 25% deposit for a wedding and your date will be secured. The remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding date

    Photoshoots require full payment

  • We will start working on delivering highlight photos straight away!
    We will deliver these within 48 hours of your wedding.

    Your full photos will be ready around 6 weeks after the wedding. We deliver all your photos digitally where you can download the images + share the link with all your friends and family.

  • Of course!
    We recommend having a catch-up beforehand so we know exactly what you’re wanting

  • For different packages, we set a minimum number of photos. However, we do not set a limit on the maximum. Have a look under Packages to check the minimum amount of photos you will receive

  • Yes!
    We are happy to say we now offer full videography services

  • For the 8/10 hour photo only package, you will have both Gene + Amanda there.

    For the 4-hour package, you will only have one of us there

    (You can add-on 2 photographers)

  • There are no extra costs to our packages unless there is travel outside of Auckland

  • Yes! We use two memory cards during photo shoots to reduce card errors. As soon as we arrive home from the shoot, all the photos are transferred to multiple hard drives to keep them safe
